OBC & MINORITY Cell
The OBC & Minority Cell in our institution is committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable campus environment that respects the diverse identities, cultures and perspectives of other backward class and minority community members. Our mission is to create a platform where every individual feels valued, supported and empowered to thrive academically, socially, and personally. This cell aims at empowering OBC and Minority community and to solve their problems.
Functions
- This cell assists the OBC students and employees to make use of the government and other support services and resources available for their career development.
- The cell substantiates the college in the government reservation policy to be followed in admission..
- To keep updating the orders and circulars issued by the University, Government and UGC in respect to OBC and Minority community such as Muslims and Christians.
- Implementing the policies regarding admission, appointment, scholarships and similar issues and to serve as a Grievance Redressal cell for OBC and Minority students and employees.
- Processing of fresh and renewal of applications for scholarship of various categories such as Minority Scholarship from Government of Tamil Nadu and private scholarship from local NGOs.
- Collecting and processing the applications for financial support and sponsorships for the poor and deserving students of OBC and minority community.
