Literary Clubs
READERS FORUM AND VASAGAR VATTAM
The students of the present scenario develop an aversion to reading by the
advent of various forms of modern electronic media. Readers Forum aims at
academic excellence thereby inculcating into the students the habit of reading.
Literary Clubs consist of the Readers Forum of the Department of English and tamil;
Vasagar Vattam of Department of Language – Tamil. These clubs function with the
intention of developing reading habit as a pleasurable one for both the faculty
members and the students. The Literary Clubs provides an ideal platform to discuss
any book of their choice. It aims to engage students in reading beyond the
classroom. The book lovers of our college meet and interact with each other twice in
a month.
Objectives
- To encourage students to express their ideas
- To improve their communication skill
- To provide a healthy academic ambience to view their observations and impressions.
- To recommend new books and authors
